OUR TEAM Nan Tolson is the Director of Texas Conservatives Concerned About the Death Penalty. Previously, Tolson worked for Governor Greg Abbott for five years where she held many roles including Deputy Press Secretary, Chief Spokesperson, and Communications Manager. Her experience also includes time in Senator Ted Cruz’s office and on Senator Rand Paul’s 2016 presidential campaign. In 2024, Tolson was named 40 Under 40 in Texas conservative politics by the Texas Federation of Republican Women. She is a graduate of Baylor University.
