Death Considered for Accused Burleson County Killer
The accused killer of a Burleson County father and son may face the death
penalty when his case goes to trial next year.
Katy resident Myron Douglas Phillips is charged with two counts of capital
murder and two counts of aggravated kidnapping.
Phillips is accused of fatally shooting David Weichert Senior and D.J.
Weichert outside of their home last April.
District Attorney Bill Parham says he'll make a decision whether the state
will seek the death penalty during a pre-trial hearing on July 6.
