On February 16, 2010 Dr. Protess, a professor at Northwest University and the director of the Medill Innocence Project, spoke with Rachael Clark of the Houston Independent Media Center regarding the upcoming execution of Hank Skinner. Protess, along with a group of students involved with the Project, have questioned Skinner’s guilt and are advocates of additional DNA testing to answer remaining questions. Dr. Protess shares more about the doubts and unanswered questions that linger and makes a direct plea to Governor Perry to save Skinner’s life.
