The State of Texas executed Christopher Anthony Young this evening, pronouncing him dead at 6:38 PM. State officials ignored the pleas of Mitesh Patel, who did not want the state to kill the man who murdered his father and who implored state officials to listen to him.
In his last words, Young expressed love for the Patel family and the desire for the kids he has been mentoring to keep this fight going.
Young is the 8th man to be executed by the state in 2018 and the 13th nationwide.
