Music for Life in Huntsville Tonight!

Sara Hickman, an Austin based singer, songwriter, musician, is conducting a year long tour of Texas on behalf of TCADP. It will be called “Music For Life.”

The purpose of the tour is to engage people across the state in a dialogue about the death penalty. The concerts will be filmed and will include an opportunity for concert goers to speak to a separate camera about their beliefs on the death penalty. The footage will be compiled into a documentary. Everyone is welcome to participate in this respectful dialogue on the death penalty in Texas.

The Huntsville concert will be on November 7 in the Olson Auditorium on the SHSU campus. It will begin at 7:00 pm. Ruth Massingill, author of the book Prison City, Dennis Longmeyer, professor at SHSU, and Rev. Carroll Pickett, former death row chaplain (participated in over 90 executions) will be speakers at the Huntsville concert with great music from Sara Hickman. The concert is free.
