The Legislative Training put on by Les Breeding, TCADP Board Member and Anita Grabowski, NCADP Texas Campaign Coordinator is coming up!

WHAT: Legislative Training covering the following:
* Legislative Process Overview
* Legislative Advocacy 101
* Power, what it means and how do we get it?
* Grassroots Lobbying
* Outreach to Dallas Area Reps

WHEN: Saturday March 5, 2011, 11am – 3pm (lunch provided)

WHERE: Southern Methodist University, 6425 Boaz Lane, Dallas TX, 75205
Dallas Hall (same building as where monthly meetings are held), Room 116

WHO: Everyone is invited, members and friends/family also!

WHY: The intention with this training is to help everyone develop a better understanding of the legislative process, get up to speed on current Death Penalty legislation, as well as improve advocacy and lobbying skills. This training will include some role-playing to help everyone feel more comfortable with a face-to-face meeting with representatives and/or the public. However, please be mindful that if you are not comfortable with this you do NOT have to participate in this portion. But also remember that this portion is crucial to our goal of abolishing the death penalty and role-play will be in groups of 3.

RSVP: This training will include a box lunch from Panera. Please contact Lauren Zielinski at Laurenlz@hotmail.com no later than Thursday, March 3 in order to RSVP for the training and indicate whether a vegetarian or vegan meal needs to be ordered.

The training is available for anyone to attend so please invite others to attend such as family and friends! Any questions please feel free to email Lauren Zielinski or Anita Grabowski atĀ anita@ncadp.org. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
