Advocates from across Texas will gather this Saturday, February 16, 2019 at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Austin for the 21st annual conference of the Texas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty (TCADP). This event, Uniting for Justice, will feature workshops, a keynote address, and a panel discussion offering views from the front lines of the criminal justice system.

Texas House Committee to Hear Death Penalty Repeal Bill
Today, Wednesday, April 29, 2015, the Texas House Criminal Jurisprudence Committee will hold a public hearing on House Bill (HB) 1527, which calls for the repeal of the death penalty in Texas. The bill is sponsored by State Representative Jessica Farrar (House District 148 – Houston).
